WAYS TO GIVE

ECH offers a variety of ways for you to provide support for helping children and families find hope, experience healing, and develop skills to be their best now and for years to come.

Youth Opportunity Program Tax Credits

ECH is awarded YOP tax credits for our Conflict Resolution for Troubled Youth program. The credits apply to donations of $500 or more and are available to any individual, business, or corporation paying taxes in the State of Missouri.

We currently have a limited amount of YOP tax credits available for the 2022 tax year that may be reserved on a first come, first served basis.

The benefit to you is a 50% Missouri State Income Tax Credit that can be used anytime within the next five tax years. For example, a $500 donation would qualify for $250 in state tax credits. Additionally, all YOP donations qualify for the standard federal and state income tax deductions as allowed by IRS regulations.

Neighborhood Assistance Program Tax Credits

ECH has been awarded Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) tax credits to benefit the construction of the new William N. Dill Youth Development Center, furnishings and equipment.

The tax credits will apply to donations of $1,000 or more received through September 30, 2023 and are available to any business or corporation paying taxes in the State of Missouri. The tax credit you will receive is 50% of the donation value minus any goods or services received, if applicable. Qualified donors include:

  • Businesses and corporations
  • Individuals who operate a sole proprietorship or farm
  • Individuals with business income from rental property or royalties
  • Shareholder in an S-corporation or a partner in a Limited Liability Corporation

NAP tax credits can be used to offset Missouri State Income Tax liability anytime within the next five tax years following the date of the gift. NAP donations also qualify for the standard federal and state charitable income tax deduction as allowed by IRS regulations.

Gifts from your IRA

One of the key benefits of a direct contribution to ECH from a traditional IRA is that the distribution counts towards your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) if you are 70 ½ or older. You may contribute up to $100,000 in a calendar year. The gift may also be used to satisfy a multi-year pledge to the agency.

Gifts of Life Insurance

Contribute a life insurance policy by naming ECH as either the owner of the policy or simply as the beneficiary.

Bequest

Consider naming ECH as a beneficiary in your will. Unless otherwise specified, all bequests are placed in our Reserve Fund where they combine with the gifts of others to continue to serve children and families for years to come.

ECH Legacy Society

The ECH Legacy Society is an honor society to recognize and celebrate donors who have indicated ECH is in their will or estate plan. These ECH donors have elevated the agency as an important beneficiary in their estate. Likewise, a legacy society acknowledges them in a special circle of the ECH family.

For more information on these and other donation opportunities, contact the ECH Development office at 314-427-3755 or development@everychildshope.org.
