Ways to Give

Making a monthly gift allows you to make an immediate and ongoing impact through ECH.

Youth who are struggling with mental health issues, trauma, homelessness, or family dysfunction require treatment and support to create a healthy future. Kids need strong, healthy families so they can thrive. They need you to help make that happen.

Make a Recurring Donation

Youth Opportunities Program (YOP) tax credits benefit ECH’s Conflict Resolution for Troubled Youth program. The credits apply to donations of $500 or more and are available to any individual, business, or corporation paying taxes in the State of Missouri.

We have a limited amount of YOP tax credits available that may be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Donors receive a 50% Missouri State Income Tax Credit that can be used anytime within the next five tax years.

Make a Tax Credit Pledge or Gift

When you give through your DAF, you’re not just making a donation—you’re making a smart, strategic investment in a child's future.

There are many advantages to setting up a DAF and giving through it. It is a simple process that makes your giving flexible and convenient, provides you with helpful tax deductions, and can allow tax-free investment growth.

When you give to ECH, you give hope to youth and healing to families. Planned gifts are a way of ensuring that the causes you care about most – like ECH’s mission – can continue for for future generations.

Some of the legacy gift options available to you:

Donors 70 ½ years old and older are eligible to make a tax-free gift of any amount (up to a maximum of $100,000) from their IRA called a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). QCDs are one way to reduce the tax liability regardless of whether you itemize deductions or not. Since the gift does not count as income, it can reduce a donor’s annual income level.

Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs): Donors aged 73 and older may use the IRA charitable rollover to help fulfill their RMDs. This means that individuals can satisfy the RMD requirement while also making a charitable contribution, effectively reducing taxable income.

Hope Chest
ECH offers the young people at ECH the opportunity to “shop” for gifts for friends, loved ones, teachers, anyone they want. We need donations of new items for the young people in all programs to “purchase” for their loved ones throughout the year. Please check out the list of items needed.

Gifts in Kind

Non-cash donations – called gifts in kind – are crucial to providing for the youth in ECH’s care. Often coming from poverty or experiencing homelessness, they need the basic essentials as they move forward into a more hopeful life.

We appreciate personal care items, school supplies, backpacks and suitcases, athletic equipment, and more. During the holiday season, the ECH Christmas Campaign provides opportunities to fulfill Christmas wishes for children by providing gifts or gift cards that promise to brighten Christmas morning at a time in their lives that may be dark.
