Beatrice “Bea” Stewart is Senior Director of Community-Based Services for Every Child’s Hope, bringing a background in trauma-informed care and youth-serving leadership to the role.
Bea is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the State of Missouri, and began her career in the 13th Circuit (Boone and Callaway County) Children’s Division in 2008 as an Alternative Care Case Worker helping reunify families with children in foster care. This is the program she now oversees at ECH. She also previously served as Executive Director of the Flourish Initiative, where she led community-based programming and built expertise around trauma-informed clinical practice; based in Columbia, Mo., Flourish served youth, including those 16-24 who faced housing, economic, and educational barriers.
Throughout her career, Bea has focused on connecting families to the resources and support they need, strengthening trauma-informed practices across her teams, and building programs rooted in community partnership. She is passionate about meeting children and families where they are and helping them build a path toward stability and wholeness.
“Bea brings both heart and expertise to ECH. Her background in trauma-informed care and community partnership makes her a strong leader for our Community-Based Services team,” said CEO Julia Adami.
In her role at ECH, she oversees outpatient therapy and psychiatry programs, as well as the Family Connections program, which helps identify relatives and family members in the first 30 days of a new foster care case. She leads the Foster Care Case Management program, serving more than 400 children.
