At the heart of our Family Solutions for Kids program is a commitment to mental wellness and family healing. This intensive, in-home service provides individual and family therapy for children and adolescents experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges.
Through short-term, goal-driven interventions, we help families strengthen relationships, improve communication, and build practical coping strategies. Our trauma-informed approach ensures every child and caregiver feels safe, supported, and empowered throughout their journey.
By addressing the whole family’s needs, we promote long-term stability and well-being—at home, in school, and in the community.
92%
of youth receiving treatment in our Family Solutions for Kids program demonstrated improved behaviors.
We offer free services to children ages four through age 19 who live in St. Louis County, thanks to funding from the St. Louis County Children’s Service Fund.
Our Family Solutions for Kids program delivers trauma-informed, intensive in-home therapy designed to support youth and families navigating emotional and behavioral challenges. Over 12–16 weeks, participating families meet with a licensed therapist for 3–4 hours each week—right in their home or in a community setting.
By providing therapy in the family’s natural environment, we eliminate barriers like travel and create real-time opportunities to model healthy behaviors and strengthen relationships. Sessions address a wide range of concerns, from parenting struggles to family conflict and youth behavioral issues.
We engage the entire family in the therapeutic process to foster understanding, healing, and lasting change—ensuring every member feels heard, valued, and supported.
Success in therapy can look different for every family, but common outcomes include improved communication, stronger relationships, and greater emotional stability. Children and adolescents may show healthier coping skills, reduced behavioral issues, and better regulation of emotions. Caregivers often report increased confidence in parenting and a deeper understanding of their child’s needs. Families experience fewer crises, work together more effectively, and feel more connected.
